Hazel & Edith is an edit of throws, cushion covers and table textiles. We look at the way a room changes through its smaller layers: a folded edge, a woven pattern, a new colour beside something familiar. Not a different home. A more personal way of living in the one you have.

Let the room lead.
Start with the spaces where your day already happens. A chair used for reading, the end of a sofa, the table where everything gathers. These are not empty settings waiting to be styled. They hold familiar furniture, changing light and the things that make a home feel lived in.
A textile can introduce another line or a different texture without asking the rest of the room to disappear. You might choose a small contrast or repeat a colour already present. Our collection offers separate pieces to consider in that context, rather than a complete room that needs to be recreated.

Texture, at its own scale.
A weave looks different from across a room than it does close to the surface. Pattern, fringe and folded edges each contribute to the way a piece sits in its surroundings. We use overall and detail photographs to help you look at both the composition and the construction shown for the selected item.
Check the stated fibre composition rather than inferring a material from its appearance. Cotton, acrylic and other listed fibres have their own care requirements; a soft look does not establish a universal washing method. Follow the instructions supplied for the particular product and avoid assuming every textile in the edit behaves alike.

Measure before you layer.
Proportion makes a practical difference. A throw for a chair may not cover a bed, and a runner can sit very differently depending on the length of the table. Compare the item’s measurements with your intended space before ordering. If you want an overhang, account for it as part of the overall arrangement.
For cushion covers, check the selected dimensions and whether an insert is included. Styling furniture, tableware and other accessories are not part of an order unless expressly listed. These details help you picture the piece at home without relying on a photograph to answer questions it cannot settle.

A personal room can hold different periods, colours and textures together. It does not need every cushion to match or every object to be new. We like the possibility of adding one thing because its proportion or pattern interests you, and allowing it to settle among the pieces you already enjoy.
